The Crime Desk: A local youth leader of Kushtia, Rafiqul Islam, has given instructions to beat up Awami League leaders and workers on the streets. In addition, he posted the video of the speech on Facebook. The video was seen on his Facebook account on Tuesday (September 10).

Rafiqul Islam Kushtia is the nephew of Rahmat Ali Rabban, former joint convener of Mirpur Paur Jubo Dal and general secretary of Upazila BNP. He has his business in Mirpur city.

In the video, Rafiqul Islam said, “If you ever see an Awami League member, you will beat them on the street. Those…children didn’t let us go out on the street; they; they; they didn’t let us go to the market. Didn’t even let us go to the market. They do such horrible politics.

Rafiqul also said, ‘No one from BNP and other organizations was allowed to sit together. Harassed in various ways. Cases of disappearance and sabotage have been filed in our name. We have all suffered a lot. So Irequest thatrequest that request that you do not make any groupingsgroupingsgroupings within the party. Do politics shoulder to shoulder.

It has been learned that last Wednesday (September 4) night, Rafiqul Islam spoke at the opening ceremony of the local BNP office in Nimtala Bazar of Amla Union of Mirpur Upazila. The video of that speech was posted on his Facebook. When he gave his speech, the party leaders and workers were sitting in front of him. At this time, many clapped.

In this regard, Mirpur Upazila BNP President Abdul Haque said, ‘BNP does not support such statements. We do not have any such instructions.
