Sitakunda Correspondent: A terrible explosion took place at a shipyard named SN Corporation in Sitakunda during the cutting of ships. At least 10 people were reported to have been burned in this incident. However, the identity is not yet known.
The explosion took place in the Kashem Jute Mills area of the upazila around 12:30 on Saturday (September 7).
The matter has been confirmed by the Fire Service Chittagong Region Control Room.
According to fire service control, there was an explosion in the CPRD while the ship was being cut. On receiving the information, two units of fire service went to the spot and rescued 10 injured people and admitted them to Chittagong Medical College Hospital. Some of them are in critical condition.
