The demands of the doctors include arrest and exemplary punishment of criminals, employment of security forces, including the army, in hospitals across the country, including DMK, appointment of health police under the Department of Health, and formulation and implementation of health protection laws.
They said, “Complete shutdown” of all doctors, including government and private hospital operations, until the demands are met. The responsibility will not be on the doctors but on the administration. Because they gave a 24-hour ultimatum and even after returning to work, the administration could not provide security.
