Cox’s Bazar Representative: All types of trains in Cox’s Bazar will run tomorrow, Thursday. Stationmaster Golam Rabbani of Cox’s Bazar Iconic Railway Station confirmed the matter on Wednesday (August 28) morning.
Earlier, the Eid special train on the Cox’s Bazar-Chittagong route was started after being closed for 3 days due to the inundation of the railway line in the Feni region due to the current flood. Also, after being closed for 6 days, the tourist express train of Cox’s Bazar-Dhaka route was started, but the Cox’s Bazar Express train of this route remained closed. It is known that all types of trains will run from Cox’s Bazar, including that train on Thursday (August 29).
Stationmaster Golam Rabbani said that from last Thursday, all train services, including intercity and Chittagong-Dhaka, along with Cox’s Bazar, were stopped. The railway authorities have decided to resume the train movement as the water has receded from the railway line.
He also said that the running period of the Eid special train on the Cox’s Bazar-Chittagong route is scheduled to expire on August 31, but a letter has been sent to the higher authorities to extend the period by 1 month. But the letter has not yet been answered. The answer depends on whether the train will run; it won’t work.
