Correspondent: A motorcycle rider named Md Jihan (18) died in a collision with a CNG-powered autorickshaw in Lohagara, South Chittagong. The accident took place on August 26 at around 8:00 p.m. on Chittagong Cox’s Bazar Highway near Sikdar Dighir in the Padua area of Lohagara upazila.
Another rider on the same motorcycle was injured in the incident. Rajim (22). According to local people, the high-speed CNG-powered autorickshaw reached the Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway via the Chibbbari road in Satkania and collided with the motorcycle. That motorcycle was on Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar road towards Chittagong city. After the accident, the motorcycle riders were immediately taken to Lohagara Upazila Health Complex. After the examination at the health complex, the doctor was on duty. Jihan was declared dead.
The deceased Md. Jihan is a resident of Darbesh Saudagar Para of Lohagara Upazila Sadar, and the injured Md. Rajim is a resident of Sunnia Para of Sukhchhari village of Amirabad Union.
