Anwara Representative: In Anwara Upazila, free seeds and fertilizers have been distributed among the small and marginal farmers under the incentive program for the Rabi/2022-23 season.
On Sunday (November 27), the Upazila Agriculture Directorate distributed mustard, maize, wheat, kesari, sunflower, mung, groundnut fertilizer and seeds to 360 farmers, Ufshi to 2,200 farmers and hybrid rice seeds to 4,500 farmers.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sheikh Zobair Ahmed presided over the function organized on this occasion and Upazila Chairman Tauhidul Haque Chowdhury was the chief guest. During this time Assistant Commissioner (Land) Muhammad Abdullah Al Mumin, Upazila Agriculture Officer Ramzan Ali, Md Sarwar Alam, Nimai Chandra Sheel etc. were present.
Besides, seeds and chemical fertilizers were distributed among 130 farmers with the funding of upazila parishad to increase oil crop cultivation.
