3 senior police officers on compulsory retirement

The Crime Desk: Three senior police officials have been sent on compulsory retirement. This was stated in a separate notification issued by the Public Security Wing of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday.

The three officers sent on compulsory retirement are: Additional Inspector General of Police. Atiqul Islam, Deputy Inspector General of Police. Anwar Hossain and Additional Commissioner of Police (DIG) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). Asaduzzaman (Head of CTTC).

The notification states that they have been retired from government service in the public interest as per the provisions of Section 45 of the Public Service Act, 2018 (Act No. 57 of 2018).

They will get retirement benefits as per rules. This order issued in public interest will be effective immediately.
