The Crime Desk: The law and order forces conducted an overnight raid in the ‘Priya Prangan’ building of former state power minister Nasrul Hamid Bipur’s Banani in the capital. The army, police, and RAB members started raiding the building at midnight on Tuesday (August 20).
Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmood, two coordinators of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, and President of the Public Rights Council Nurul Haque Noor were present during the campaign.
Several vaults were seized from inside the building in the overnight operation.
At that time, Noor alleged that a large amount of funding was used to suppress the movement of students.
In order to collect information and evidence of this incident, the raid was conducted on the floors of the building. However, they complain about the delay of law and order forces in the news of the operation.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has ordered to freeze the bank accounts of Nasrul Hamid Bipu and Dhaka Metropolitan Police official Biplab Kumar Sarkar on Tuesday.
