Own Correspondent: Upazila Executive Officer has appointed 4 officers for birth and death registration service in Barahatia, Amirabad, Padua, and Kalauzhan Unions in Lohagara Upazila of South Chittagong.
Lohagara UNO Muhammad Inamul Hasan issued an office order on Sunday, August 18, following the order of the concerned higher authority.
Among the appointed officers are Upazila Social Service Officer (Rtd) Riduanul Karim in Barahatia Union, Upazila Education Officer (Rtd) Muhammad Abu Jafar in Amirabad Union, Mahmudul Hashan, Deputy Assistant Engineer of Directorate of Public Health Engineering in Padua Union, and Upazila Academic Supervisor in Kalauzhan Union. Nurul Abhar.
It may be noted that due to the recent special situation in the upazila, the said 4 UP chairmen are absent from their workplace without permission. As a result, services related to birth and death registration of the people of the said 4 unions are being disrupted. Public interest is being undermined. In such a situation, this order was given by the Lohagara Upazila Nirbahi Officer to ensure that people receive services related to birth and death registration.
