The young society wants a non-discriminatory, friendly country. I have taken charge of the country, but Sheikh Hasina’s dictatorship has destroyed all the country’s institutions. Judiciary has collapsed, democratic rights have been undermined for a long time, and rigged elections have been held. A young society grew up disenfranchised. Politically influenced bank robberies.
Dr. expressed gratitude to the friendly countries at this time. Yunus said Bangladesh is grateful to our friends; they have helped us. Going through a challenging time right now. It has been two weeks since the second revolution in Bangladesh. Thousands of people have formed resistance against dictator Sheikh Hasina. He fled the country.
Remembering the casualties in the student movement, became emotional Dr. Yunus. He said that in no other country in the world did students have to sacrifice so much. Nowhere in the world have citizens been deprived of human rights as much as in Bangladesh.
Dr. Yunus said Bangladesh is covered in corruption. It will take time to fix. Hopefully, everyone will be with us in creating a new Bangladesh.
