He said, 31 plots were made in the field of Paris Road in Mirpur. We recovered it, now it is a field. Now everyone can play sports there. You tell me where the fields are occupied, we will take everyone with us and rescue those fields in Dhaka city.
He said this at the inaugural function of inter-departmental football at Government Titumir College in Mohakhali on Sunday (November 27). He could not control himself while watching football. He also said that 24 more fields will be recovered and opened for sports by DNCC by next December.
22 departments of the college participated in the Government Titumir College Inter-Departmental Football Competition. These include: Bengali, English, History and Culture of Islam, Islamic Education, Philosophy, History, Political Science, Economics, Social Work, Sociology, Management, Accountancy, Finance and Banking, Marketing, Mathematics, Physical Science, Botany, Zoology, Chemistry. , Department of Psychology, Statistics and Geography. Besides, there are two separate teams for female student footballers.
DNCC Mayor said to the students that they should participate in sports and various cultural activities. Participation of girls should be increased along with boys. Our women have come a long way. A few days ago, the women’s football team became the champion and brightened the face of Bangladesh.
DNCC Mayor announced to give necessary sports equipment to the students of Titumir College.
