The Crime Desk: Chief of Army Staff General Waqar-uz-Zaman has given an idea about when the army members deployed across the country will return to barracks.
After inspecting the activities of the army’s temporary camp at the Khulna Shaheed Sheikh Abu Nasser Stadium on Monday afternoon, the army chief said, “The army members will return to the barracks if the police organize and start normal operations.” With everyone’s cooperation, we want to bring the country back to normal.
General Waqar-uz-Zaman said, “There has been an attack on the police force. The number of police forces is two lakh. When such a large police force became ineffective, it became difficult for the army to enforce it. But we have brought the situation under control nicely.
The army chief said, “The police must be more organized. Very soon the situation will become more normal. We are working on it. If the situation improves further, all regular forces will conduct counter-terrorism operations. Action will be taken against those who have committed misdeeds as per law.
