Brigadier General (Retd.) M Sakhawat Hossain, Advisor to the Ministry of Home Affairs, has ordered to submit the looted weapons to the police station within the next 7 days.
He said this to reporters on Monday (August 12).
The adviser said if the weapons are not submitted by next Monday (August 19), the weapons recovery operation will begin. If weapons are found, then strict action will be taken.
Earlier on Sunday night, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) urged unlicensed firearms or bullets to be immediately submitted to the nearest police station.
