The Crime Desk: Nashir Uddin Chowdhury, alias Shibir Nashir, has been released from prison after 26 years after getting bail in two cases of Fatikchari police station. According to court sources, there were a total of 36 cases against Nashir in various police stations of Chittagong, including Fatikchari, on various charges, including murder. Out of this, he was acquitted in 31 cases. Although sentenced in two cases, they have completed their sentences as they were in prison. He was already on bail in one of the remaining three cases. Recently, he got bail in two other cases. Court sources also said that Nashir was in jail since April 9, 1998. He was released from prison after 26 long years. Sources also said that Nashir came to the discussion in the nineties. In April 1998, the police arrested Nashir from a hostel at Chittagong College.
Meanwhile, our Fatikchari representative said that Nashir returned to his home village with a fleet of around 100 cars after his release. Hundreds of supporters gathered at his house.
