According to the press release, Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Forces have been assigned the responsibility of ensuring the internal security of various police stations in the country, including Dhaka, and the security of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. Besides, they have been given the responsibility of traffic control in Dhaka city.
