Some are taking tables, some commodes, and some tiles from the Awami League office

The Crime Desk: A group of people are taking various goods from the central office of the Awami League on Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital, Gulistan. Earlier, the office was set on fire.

People are talking about various reasons for carrying goods like this. Some say that they could not stay in the area due to the oppression of Awami League people. Some say that Awami League has filed multiple cases because of other parties. Some say that he is doing the same after seeing others.

This image was seen on the ground today at around 2:30 p.m. Hundreds of people are expressing their excitement by capturing the scene of removing the goods from every floor of the office.

Awami League’s central office in the Gulistan area was set on fire yesterday afternoon after Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned and left the country. In the second phase, the fire was set again at around 12:30 noon today. After that, a group of people started taking all the goods of the office.

The central office of the Awami League is built on 8 khata land. The old building was demolished, and the new building with 10 floors was inaugurated on June 23, 2018 by the party president and then Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

On the ground, it can be seen that the fire is burning on the second and third floors of the office. In such a situation, all the furniture inside the floors where the fire is extinguished is being taken away. Someone is coming out from inside the office with a rod; someone is opening the commode in the bathroom and coming out with it on their head. Someone is taking a chair; someone is taking a table. Someone is taking away the electronics.

Habibur Rahman, a resident of an area of Dhaka, was taking out tiles from the ground floor of the Awami League office and piling them. Habibur said that he has come to see if anything is happening in Shahbag today. He said he works as a cook. He said that he also had work in the Gulistan area. He came and saw that everyone was carrying goods. So he entered. Rickshaw drivers, pedestrians, and even vagrants were seen carrying various items from the office.

In front of the central office of the Awami League, Kamrul Islam, a resident of the Naogaon Sadar area, said that several cases have been filed against him for the crime of BNP. He cannot visit the area for five years. Worked as an electrician in an organization in Gazipur. His mother can’t sleep at home because of the case. He entered the Awami League office out of long-standing anger and took some small plastic items. Go to the area and show that he brought it from the Awami League office.

Some people are live on Facebook taking pictures of goods being taken from the Awami League office. They say that the office furniture made with loot money is being taken by the general public.

Asghar Ali, a resident of an area of Dhaka, is taking pictures of carrying goods on his mobile phone in front of the office. He said that the people of the Awami League could not live in peace in the area.

Even though there are no leaders and workers of the party in front of the office, BNP people have been marching there for a while and shouting slogans. The pro-BNP businessmen of Gulistan area have joined this procession.
