The Crime Desk: Police and RAB clashed with protesters in Uttar Pradesh, the capital. Two students were killed in the clash on Thursday (July 18) around 11 o’clock.
As part of the complete shutdown across the country, students of several universities protested in different areas of the capital’s Uttara. At this time, two students from Northern University were killed by the police. The names of the dead students are yet to be known. Hundreds more students were injured in the clash. Doctors said that the condition of some of them is critical. The matter was confirmed by Dr. Ruknuzzaman, a Bangladeshi medical doctor.
Police and RAB threw sound grenades and tear shells during the clash. The agitators are staying on the road from the house building to Raja Lakshmi Mor. Traffic has been stopped on the northern part of the Dhaka-Mymensingh road due to this incident.
Earlier, students of various private universities, colleges, and schools gathered in front of Zamzam Tower in Uttar Pradesh. Later, when they wanted to take the procession to the main road, the police and RAB tried to disperse them. Later, the conflict started.
