Business on roads and canals: five people fined in Chittagong

City Correspondent: Chittagong City Corporation Executive Magistrate Chaiti Sarvavidya conducted a mobile court in the city on Monday.

During the conduct of the court, the shops illegally established on the roads and drains adjacent to Holy Crescent Hospital under Zakir Hossain Road under Khulshi police station were evicted.

A fine of 55,000 taka was collected against 5 persons for the crime of doing business without a trade license, increasing the part of the shop on the road, and doing business in footpa.

During the operation, the officers and employees of the concerned departments of the City Corporation and Chittagong Metropolitan Police provided assistance to the magistrate.
