Dhaka Bureau: There is nothing to be nervous about or panic about about what the newspaper has written. Would you rather see if there is any truth? If not, throw it straight in the dustbin; there is no need to read it. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said such advisory words to government officials.
He said, I myself do not read many newspapers. The country is mine. I know the country well. I have been involved in politics since childhood. I was born in the house of the father of the nation. How this country is good and bad, we should know more than anyone else.
He said these things at the Annual Performance Agreement (APA) signing and APA and Purity Award ceremony for the financial year 2024–25 at the Prime Minister’s Office on Monday (July 15).
Sheikh Hasina said that since 2015, we have increased the facilities of government officials and employees. That is because those who will work cannot concentrate on the work of the country if they have to constantly worry about their family. Considering that, facilities have been increased.

He said that to make your life better, starting with accommodation, education, treatment, training, and sending training abroad, we have made arrangements in all aspects. As we want to build a corruption-free society, we have also focused on acquiring the qualifications and skills of those who work.
Addressing the government officials, the Prime Minister said, You will take appropriate action if irregularities are shown. We have declared zero tolerance for corruption. We don’t believe that if corruption is caught, then the government is held accountable.
At the same time, the head of government said that corruption is done by very few people, but its bad name is more. Due to this, appropriate action will be taken against those who are involved in corruption. I don’t care if the government gets a bad name or not. I want to purify society and take measures to work for the welfare of the people of the country. That is why I have taken steps to say that I will not tolerate corruption in any way.
