Dhaka Bureau: The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has been increased again at the consumer level. Compared to the month of June, the price of a 12 kg cylinder has increased by Tk 3 to Tk 1,366 for the month of July.
The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced the new price on Tuesday afternoon, which will be effective in the evening, the company said.
Earlier, the price of a 12 kg cylinder was reduced by Tk 30 in June compared to May to Tk 1,363.
Since March 2024, the government has been adjusting the price of fuel oil on a monthly basis.
Following this, the government has reduced the price of diesel from Tk 107.75 to Tk 106.75 per liter as of July 1.
After increasing for 8 consecutive months before this, the price of LP gas decreased in the last month of April. As a result, the price of LPG also decreased in May and June.
