Nagar Reporter: The court remanded the juvenile gang leader Golam Rasul Nishan and his accomplice Arifullah Raju in the case of the death of dentist Kurban Ali in the Ferozshah Colony area under the Akbarshah police station of the city. Of this, three days of Nishan and two days of Raju have been granted. Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate Rumana Akter granted the remand of these two after the hearing yesterday. Before this, the police applied to remand them for five days. The plaintiff’s lawyer, Russell Sarkar, confirmed this information to Media.
According to court sources, Nishan and Raju surrendered to the Mahanagara Sessions Judge’s Court on June 27 and applied for bail. Judge Jebunnecha ordered them to be sent to jail.
The court sources also said that on April 5, Madrasa student Ali Reza, son of dentist Kurban Ali, was beaten up by juvenile gang members in the area adjacent to Idgaon Field of Ferozshah Colony under Akbarshah police station. Kurban Ali rushed to save him. At one stage, Kurban Ali was also beaten and seriously injured. He died in the hospital on April 10 while undergoing treatment. Ali Reza filed a case at Akbar Shah Police Station, mentioning the names of 12 people in this incident.
