Entertainment Desk: Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha is going to marry her longtime boyfriend, Zaheer Iqbal. The Free Press Journal reported that the marriage ceremony will be completed at Zaheer Iqbal’s house on Sunday (June 23).
Sonakshi is Hindu, and Zaheer Iqbal is Muslim. As the two are followers of two religions, there is a lot of discussion on the matter in the online world. In the meantime, there is news that Sonakshi Sinha will accept Islam. But how true is this news?
Zaheer’s jewelry businessman father, Iqbal Ratnasi, spoke to The Free Press Journal about this. Dismissing rumors of Sonakshi’s conversion to Islam, he said, “It is certain that she (Sonakshi) will not convert. Basically, it is a meeting of two minds. Religion has no role here. I believe in humanity. Hindus call the creator ‘God’ and Muslims call it ‘Allah’. But at the end of the day, we are all humans. My blessings to Zaheer and Sonakshi.”
So how will Sonakshi-Zahir get married? In response to this question, Iqbal Ratnasi said, “Hindu or Muslim will not have a marriage ceremony.” They will marry legally.’
Sonakshi’s latest released series is ‘Hiramandi: Diamond Bazaar’. Produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the series was released on Netflix on May 1. Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal, Sanjeeda Sheikh, and Richa Chadha played the central roles in this series.
