3920 pilgrims returned home after Hajj

The Crime Desk: Pilgrims have started returning home after performing the holy Hajj. The return flight started on June 20. A total of 3920 pilgrims have returned to the country on 10 flights until Saturday (June 22) morning.

Meanwhile, a total of 35 Bangladeshi pilgrims died in Saudi Arabia while performing Hajj. This information was given in the latest Hajj bulletin of the Ministry of Religion on Saturday (June 22). Bangladesh Hajj Office Dhaka and Saudi Arabia sources have given this information to the helpdesk.

According to helpdesk information, Bangladesh Biman’s first return flight, 417 Haji, landed at Shahjalal International Airport. The flight departed from King Abdulaziz Airport in Saudi Arabia at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. The next day, 10 more flights from three airlines returned to the country with the pilgrims. The last flight with the pilgrims will return to the country on July 22.

Meanwhile, this year, due to intense heat waves and unbearable heat, Saudi Arabia’s death rate in Hajj has exceeded 1,000. The Saudi authorities said that the pilgrims died due to the intense heat in Saudi Arabia. The Ministry of Religion said that 35 Bangladeshi pilgrims have died while performing Hajj. Among them, 17 people died before the start of Hajj, and the remaining 18 died after the start of Hajj.

The Hajj bulletin of the Ministry of Religion has reported that 35 pilgrims have died. Among the pilgrims who died, 28 were men and 7 were women. 28 died in Makkah, 4 in Madinah, 2 in Mina, and 1 in Jeddah.

The 18 people who died after the commencement of Hajj are Abu Bakar Siddique (59) of Hijla, Barisal, Noor Mohammad Talukdar (68) of Jhalkathi, Shahidul Islam (49) of Abhaynagar, Jessore, Sufia Begum (87) of Kotchandpur, Jhenaidah, and A.S. of Raujan, Chittagong. M. Nuruddin Chowdhury (72), Zahirul Islam (73) of Mohammadpur, Dhaka, Idris Khan (56) of Madaripur Shibchar, Umm Kulsoom (47) of Badda, Dhaka, Monir Hossain (59) of Banshal, Dhaka, Fatema Yasmin (53) of Kishoreganj, Nargis of Pirojpur (60), Aminul Islam (65) of Dhaka New Market, Moazzem Hossain (68) of Noakhali, Siddiqur Rahman (48) of Rangpur, Manik Tofazzal Haque (70) of Dhaka Cantonment, Roshan Ara Begum (72) of Dhaka Mohammadpur, Rezaul Karim Mandal of Sonatala Upazila of Bogra. (61), and Alamgir Hossain Khan (73) of Tangail Sadar.

According to Hajdesk, two people died in Saudi Arabia last Wednesday, June 12, before the start of Hajj ceremonies. The two who died are Md. Shah Alam (77) and Sufia Khatun (62). Their homes are Comilla and Kishoreganj, respectively.

The other pilgrims who died are Md. Asaduzzaman (57), of Kendua Upazila in Netrakona district. Bhola district. Mostafa (90), Lutfar Rahman (65) of Kurigram District, Murtajur Rahman (63) of Nawabganj, Dhaka District, Mohammad Idris (64) of Raujan Upazila, Chittagong District, Mohammad Shahjahan (48) of Dhaka District, Ali Imam Bhuiya (65) of Comilla District, and Cox’s Bazar. Md. Jamal Uddin (69) of District Maheshkhali Upazila, Mohammad Nurul Alam (61) of Ramu Upazila of Cox’s Bazar District, Maksud Ahmad (61) of Chakaria Upazila of Cox’s Bazar District, Momtaz Begum (63) of Faridpur District, and Ariful Islam (57) a resident of Rampura, Dhaka, Gaibandha District Gobindpur Upazila. Solaiman (73), Shahzad Ali (55) of Mithapukur Upazila in Rangpur, and Golam Quddus (54) of Taraganj in Rangpur.

According to Saudi Arabian law, if a person dies while performing Hajj, his body is buried in Saudi Arabia. It is not allowed to be brought to your country. Even family objections are not entertained. When a Hajj pilgrim dies in Makkah, the funeral is held at Masjid al-Haram.
