The Crime Desk: The control of crime in Chittagong is now in the hands of juvenile criminals. From murders and injuries to robberies and extortions, the names of teenagers or young adults appear in everything. Raids, arrests—nothing can stop the violence of these criminals. In the last eight days in Chittagong, four murders have come up with the names of juveniles against whom there was no complaint at the police station earlier. The number of juvenile delinquents is increasing rapidly due to heroism, raw money, and drug addiction. Along with this, many people have gone astray through various social media sites, including Tik Tok and Likey, and are signing up for youth gangs.
RAB-7 Chittagong captain Lt. Colonel Md. Mahbub Alam said some bad culture has been affected in the country; one of them is youth gangs. Like other districts, Chittagong metropolis is dominated by juvenile gangs. In view of this, besides keeping a vigil on the youth gangs, we have started operations. To prevent this degradation, family moral education should be strengthened, and parents should be more aware of where the child goes and with whom. Officials say curbing juvenile delinquency has become a real challenge for them. In addition to arresting juvenile criminals from various areas, parents are being made aware by carrying out raids at various times. Still, the violence of juvenile delinquents cannot be stopped.
