Own Correspondent: A public awareness meeting was held in Lohagara on Tuesday, June 11, with the aim of making land service activities accessible to the general public. The meeting was organized in the Alhaj ¦ Mostafizur Rahman College Hallroom of Upazila Sadar under the slogan Smart Bhoomiseba, Smart Citizen. Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Nazmun Lyel presided over the meeting held at 11:00 a.m. College Principal AKM Fazlul Haque, Upazila Muktijoddha Sangsad Commander Bir Muktijoddha Akhter Ahmed Sikdar, Lohagara Press Club President Bir Muktijoddha Nurul Islam, Rural Electricity Lohagara Zonal Office DGM Mohammad Shah Shahjahan, Lohagara Press Club Joint General Secretary HM Jasim Uddin, and Padua Union Parishad spoke. Chairman Md. Harunur Rashid and others. Professor Golam Rasool Tutul was the moderator of the meeting.
Speakers in the meeting said that the main goal of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, was the welfare of all people, including agricultural workers. It is his privileged daughter, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s, wish to arrange that people get services at home. The Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina-led government is working to ensure that service recipients are not harassed in any way. In the meeting, almost all the officers and employees of the Upazila Land Office, teachers, students, and local dignitaries of various educational institutions were present.
Bhumi Week activities started in Lohagara on June 8. On this occasion, a room for service candidates has been set up in the Upazila Land Office. This land-week activity will continue until June 14.
