The Crime Desk: Lieutenant General Walker-ur-Zaman has been appointed as the next army chief of Bangladesh. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) received this information in a circular on Tuesday (June 11).
According to the notification, BA-2902 Lieutenant General Waqar-uz-Zaman, OSP, SGP, PSC, Chief of General Staff (CGS), will be promoted to the rank of General from the afternoon of June 23 and will be appointed as the Chief of Army Staff for 3 years from that date. Appointed.’
Waqar-uz-Zaman is replacing the current army chief, General Shafiuddin Ahmed. He is currently serving as the Chief of General Staff of the Army.
