Pekua representative: 8 young people have been married in the Shilkali Union Parishad of Pekua Upazila of Cox’s Bazar. This mass wedding was officially completed at Shilkali Union Parishad around 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Shilkhali UP Chairman Kamal Hossain financed the mass marriage of these eight young people.
Those who got married were: groom Mohammad Hefaz Uddin, bride Razia Sultana; groom Habibur Rahman Iman, bride Tasmin Jannat; groom Mohammad Sohail, bride Kaniz Fatema Tania; groom Md. . Shakib, bride Saima Jannat Munni.
Former MP Zafar Alam was present as the chief guest in this wedding ceremony, along with Pekua Upazila Executive Officer Mohammad Saiful Islam, the newly elected chairman of Pekua Upazila Parishad. Shafayet Aziz Raju, female vice chairman Yachmin Sultana, vice chairman Mahbubul Karim, and chairman of Shilkhali Union Parishad were present as the chief guests. Kamal Hossain, Shilkhali High School former head teacher Jasim Uddin, Shilkhali Union Parishad panel chairman Abdu Chamad, and others. After the wedding ceremony, food is served to all the guests.
