Personal Representative: Everyone must fulfill their responsibilities properly to make the upcoming Lohagara Upazila Parishad elections of South Chittagong free, fair and impartial. There is no reason to fear in the performance of duty. Director General of Bangladesh Election Commission Training Institute Asaduzzaman said these things in the chief guest’s speech at the training workshop for polling officers in Lohagara Upazila Parishad elections.
A workshop was organized at Alhaj Mostafizur Rahman University College of Upazila Sadar on Friday morning, May 31. Lohagara Upazila Executive Officer Muhammad Inamul Hasan presided over the workshop.
NID director Hasanuzzaman and Farhad Hossain were present among others. Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Nazmun Lael, Lohagara Upazila Election Officer Abdur Sukkur, Lohagara Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Rashedul Islam and Alhaj Mostfizur Rahman University College Principal AKM Fazlul Haque and others spoke.
Voting will be held in 71 centers in 9 unions in Lohagara Upazila Parishad elections on June 5. 81 presiding officers, 585 assistant presiding officers and 1200 polling officers participated in the workshop with additional responsibilities in these centers.
The Director General also said that all the officials and employees engaged in the election must perform their duties above the party opinion. He sought everyone’s cooperation for fair, free and impartial polling.
