The Crime Desk: Police arrested 1 drug dealer with 1000 yaba and 4 journalist ID cards in Fazilpur. On Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 11:40 a.m., on the instructions of Additional DIG of Highway Police Comilla Region Md. Khairul Alam, during a special operation of Fazilpur Highway Police Station, ASI (Retd) Altaf Hossain, on the basis of secret information, Nijkunjara of Dhaka-Chittagong Highway under Chagalnaya Police Station of Feni District, During the check post at Namaksthan, the red-green passenger bus from Chittagong to Dhaka with Reg. No.-Dhaka Metro-B-12-2566 stopped with a signal.
Later, during the search of the bus with the accompanying force, after searching the paper shopping bag in the hand of the passenger in seat no. D-2, 1000 (one thousand) back Yaba and four journalist ID cards were taken from him and taken into custody. On asking the arrested passenger, his name is Rakhibul Hasan (45), Father: Chiddik Bhuiyan, Mother: Rahima Begum, House/Holding No. 13/02, Village/Road: New Paltan Line, Post Office: New Market-1205, Police Station: Lalbagh, Dhaka, and Permanent Address: Sang-Pakunda.
Police Station: Sonargaon, District: Narayanganj, and admits that there are 1000 (one thousand) backs of yaba inside the bag.
Later, in the presence of witnesses, 200 sachets each (2,00X5) = 1,000 (one thousand) sachets of yaba tablets with an estimated value of (1,000) from 05 bottles wrapped with white costape in a white zippered shopping bag kept by the accused. X 300 = 3,00,000 (three lakh) rupees is recovered, which weighs 100 grams.
SI (retd) Md Noor Soleman was quickly dispatched to the spot to take immediate legal action. He arrived at the spot and seized the original evidence seizure list against the local witnesses and took the accused into custody. In this regard, a regular case under the Narcotics Control Act is under process at the Chagalnaya police station in Feni district.
