The Crime Desk: A 3-member investigation team headed by Additional Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police Mohammad Haroon Or Rashid has arrived in Kolkata. The other two members of the investigation committee are Wari Division DC Muhammad Abdul Ahad and ADC Shahidur Rahman.
The delegation left for Kolkata on a US-Bangladesh flight at 10 a.m. on Sunday (May 26). It is said that they reached Kolkata at 11 a.m. Bangladesh time.
They will visit the scene and interrogate the accused by the CID of India in the investigation of the murder case of Jhenaidah 4 Constituency Member of Parliament Anwarul Azim Anwar, who was killed in Abhiyat Flat in Calcutta, India. The Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs has given official approval to the investigating officers to go abroad on Friday holidays.
According to investigation sources, the investigation team of the Kolkata CID that came to Dhaka has met with the investigation officers of Dhaka several times. They jointly interrogated the accused arrested in Dhaka. Mainly, the detectives of the two countries have identified the accused in the murder and disappearance of the body of Parliamentarian Anwaral Azim Anna.
In the meeting of the intelligence officers of the two countries, they agreed that the plan of Akhtaruzzaman Shahin was to kill the identified criminals of the two countries in a well-planned manner, cut the bodies into pieces, and make them sleep. Khulna’s East Bengal Proletarian Party’s brutal killer Amanullah alias Shimul and India’s highly skilled butcher Jihad alias Siam have been appointed to implement the plan.
