It is said that the government has decided that a state of mourning will be observed on Thursday, May 23, for the deaths of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi and others in a tragic helicopter crash near Zolfa in the East Azerbaijan province of Iran on May 19.
On the occasion of national mourning, the national flag will be flown at half-mast in all government, semi-government, and autonomous institutions and educational institutions, as well as all government and private buildings and Bangladesh missions abroad on Thursday.
In addition, special prayers will be held in all mosques in Bangladesh on Thursday to wish the departed souls peace. Special prayers will be organized in other religious institutions.
