Bandarban Correspondent: The chief coordinator of the women’s wing of Kuki Chin National Front (KNF), an armed hill outfit, has been arrested in Bandarban in a raid by RAB. This incident happened on Friday morning.
According to law enforcement forces and locals, RAB-15 members raided the Laimi Para area of Bandarban Sadar Upazila. In the operation, one of the chief coordinators of the armed separatist organization Kuki Chin National Front (KNF) of Bandarban Sadar and Rowangchari Upazila region, who has military training, was arrested.
The name of the arrested coordinator is Akim Bam (42). Confirming the truth, RAB-15 squad leader Touhid said that the operation of the joint forces is ongoing to arrest those involved with the KNF armed organization in the case of anti-state crime bank robbery, looting of weapons by law enforcement forces, and kidnapping of the bank manager.
Following this, RAB raided the Laimi neighborhood on the basis of secret information and arrested the chief coordinator of the women’s wing. RAB is scheduled to hold a pre-briefing in the auditorium of Bandarban Hill District Council for this incident.
