Bogra Correspondent: In Sherpur of Bogra, there was an incident where the accused attempted to rob the police by attacking the warrant. Two police officers of Sherpur police station were injured in the attack.
The injured are, ASI Md. Mukimuzzaman and ASI Habibur Rahman. Additional police from the local public representative and police station went and rescued them. Later, the police arrested 6 people for their involvement in the attack on the police.
It is known that on Tuesday, November 22 at 9 pm, ASI of Sherpur police station. Mokim Uzzaman and ASI Habibur Rahman arrested Ahmad Ali, son of Abdur Rahman of Khanpur village, the accused in the women and child abuse case warrant, from his house. Relatives attacked the police to snatch away the arrested accused Ahmed Ali. Two police officers were seriously injured. On receiving the news, local UP member Mahir Uddin rescued the injured police officers and admitted them to Sherpur Upazila Health Complex. Later, additional police from the police station arrested the accused Ahmed Ali (40), his brother Mohammad Ali (50), Mohr Ali (58), nephew Abdur Rashid (28), Rezaul Karim (20), daughter Akalima (19) and wife Buli Khatun. (40) arrested. ASI Mukimuzzaman has filed a case with the police station against those who were arrested for the crime of obstructing the lawful official duties of the police, assault and using criminal force by joining an illegal crowd at night.
In this regard, Police Inspector (Investigation) of Sherpur Police Station Lal Mia said that the attackers of the police have been produced in the court and a 7-day remand has been sought.
