The mentally unbalanced Md. of Ishwarganj Upazila of Mymensingh was rescued from the discussed Milton Samaddar Child and Old Age Care. Salim Miyake. His relatives brought Salim home last Wednesday (May 8). Since the rescue, whenever he sees someone wearing red clothes, he gets scared. Can’t even walk properly. There are cuts on both sides of his waist. According to the family, Selim’s kidney was removed by Milton Samader. Salim is the son of poor Hasim Uddin of Bripacashi village in Barahit union of Ishwarganj upazila.
According to the family, six months ago, Salim went missing from the house due to a mental imbalance. The family members searched a lot but could not find him. In the meantime, the issue of Milton Samaddar’s Child and Old Age Care in Dhaka has created a lot of discussion in the media and social media. The family found his (Selim) photo at Milton Samader’s Child and Old Age Care on social media. Last Tuesday, mother Rabia Khatun and cousin village policeman Abdur Rashid went to Dhaka Child and Old Age Care and identified Selimok. On Wednesday, with the help of the police, they brought Salim home from there in a serious condition.
According to the family, Salim cannot even walk properly. There are cut marks on both sides of the waist. Those spots have not dried yet. Family members say that Salim was subjected to inhumane torture while in the care of Milton Samader. Maybe someone dressed in red used to beat him a lot. Salim gets scared when he sees someone wearing red clothes. They allege that Selim’s kidney was removed by Milton Samaddar. Due to which water has come into his body. Relatives are holding him and moving him. Selim even has to feed the food by mouth.
Selim’s mother, Rabia Khatun, said, “My son is mentally ill. There was no scar on his body. My son was systematically tortured, and his kidneys were removed by slitting both sides of his waist. We want justice.
Selim’s father, Hashem Uddin, said, ‘I am a poor man. Where should I go now with this boy? I don’t know what to do. Whoever or those who have done this, we want the maximum punishment for them.
Salim’s wife, Fatema Begum, said, “I have two daughters. I married the eldest daughter. The younger daughter, Somaiya Mani, is studying in class VII. Selim is mad, but so is my husband. In his condition, it seems that my daughters will become orphans and I will become a widow.
Meanwhile, when Selim’s condition deteriorated, the family members took him to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital on Saturday (May 11) afternoon.
Chairman of Barahit Union Parishad. Azizul Haque Bhuya Milan said, “I went to Salim’s house after hearing such news. I have told the family to take them to the hospital quickly. After the medical examination, the issue of kidney removal will be known.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ishwarganj Police Station, Mohammad Majedur Rahman, said that the police were sent to the house after receiving such information. Along with that, the victim’s family members have been asked to get him (Salim) treated and some tests done. The test report will actually know what the incident is. Then legal action will be taken if a complaint is made.
