Dhaka Bureau: Advocate Hosne Ara Lutfa Dalia got nomination of Awami League in Rangpur City Corporation election. Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina nominated him. The general secretary of the party, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader confirmed this information.
On Wednesday (November 23), Awami League office secretary Barrister Biplab Barua confirmed the matter in a press release. Advocate Hosne Ara Lutfa Dalia is a member of the Awami League Central Executive and a former Member of Parliament from the reserved women’s seat.
According to the circular, Awami League’s Local Government People’s Representative Nomination Board President and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina’s General Secretary Obaidul Quader has announced Advocate Hosne Ara Lutfa Dalia as Awami League’s candidate for the post of mayor in the upcoming Rangpur City Corporation elections.
Incidentally, Rangpur City polling will be held on December 27. The last date for filing nominations is 29 November. Last day for selection of nomination papers on December 1 and withdrawal of nomination papers is December 8. Symbols will be allotted next day on 9th December.
