State Minister for Finance and Awami League Secretary for Finance and Planning Wasika Ayesha Khan MP said these things in the afternoon of Friday (May 10) at the Mahata Patnikotha Adarsh High School ground in Anwara as the chief guest at the felicitation ceremony.
He said, ‘Bangabandhu tunnel through the bottom of Karnaphuli, Dhaka Metrorail, elevated expressway, Padma Setu, Bangabandhu Satellite are all the realization of our dreams. We reach Chittagong city from Anwara through Bangabandhu Tunnel in 7 to 8 minutes.
Wasika Ayesha Khan MP said, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has laid the foundation for development and taking comprehensive plans for the reconstruction of the war-torn country. On May 17, 1981, Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina defied all obstacles and returned to the country to restore democracy and struggle hard to ensure the rights of common people. He is working tirelessly to ensure a beautiful future for the people of this country, to gift a prosperous Bangladesh to the next generation. He is working for human welfare by giving equal importance to each field of health, education, communication.
The Minister of State for Finance said that allocation of Tk 90 thousand crores, distribution of free books, great progress in technical education have been made possible by leader Sheikh Hasina. At this time, he expressed his intention to continue his efforts to fulfill the demands related to the development of educational institutions. He urged the students to develop themselves as enlightened people to build the country by being inspired by patriotism and concentrating on studies.
President of Mahata Patnikotha Adarsh High School’s Board of Management Bir Muktijoddha Commander Mohammad Idriche presided over the ceremony, Chittagong South District Awami League Vice President Shahzada Mohiuddin, Awami Youth League Organizing Secretary Abu Monir Mohammad Shahidul Haque Russell, Chittagong Medical College Professor Dr. Nasir Uddin Mahmud, former DMD of Bank Asia Swapan Das Gupta, former supervising engineer Swapan Das, Dr. Debashish Dutta and Abu Taher Mahmud spoke. Later, Minister of State for Finance Wasika Ayesha Khan attended the 33rd death anniversary function of Banavithi Sengupta as the chief guest at Alliance Française auditorium in MP Nagar.
