Gang rape in moving CNG in the city, arrest 2

City Reporter: Sagar (19) and CNG driver Akhter (30) have been arrested by the Doublemooring police station in connection with the incident of gang-rape in a moving CNG taxi for allegedly taking a young girl to the beach.

On Tuesday, May 7, police sources confirmed that one person involved in the incident was arrested from Doublemooring and the other from Halishahar. The CNG used in the incident was also seized.

According to police sources, the incident happened last Friday. CNG taxi drivers Akhter and Sagar are known to each other. On the day of the incident, the driver Akhtar picked up Sagar’s girlfriend in his CNG, saying that he was going to the beach. At one point in the evening, Sagar forcibly established physical relations between CNG while moving on a deserted road in the EPZ area.

After stopping the CNG, the accused Sagar beat the victim and again forcibly established physical relations with the victim, the driver Akhtar too. Later, around 11 p.m., they brought the victim to the double mooring area and dropped the victim from the CNG.

Later, on the basis of secret information, accused Sagar was arrested from the Doublemooring area, and CNG driver Md. Akhtar was arrested from Halishahar’s Bara Pole bus stand by the Doublemooring police station when he fled to Bhola at around 2 a.m..

Confirming the matter, Doublemooring Model Police Station OC Fazlul Quader Patwari said that they were able to be arrested by raiding on the basis of secret information. Action has been taken against them. Submitted to court.
