Dhaka Bureau: Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury MP said that the youth are the leaders of tomorrow. By applying quality education and training, they will become skilled artisans of developed and prosperous Bangladesh.
He said these things while appearing as the chief guest at the ‘High Achievers Award 2022’ award ceremony organized by Pearson Edexcel in collaboration with the British Council at Bangabandhu International Conference Center in the capital Dhaka on Saturday (October 29).
Robert Chatterson Dickson, British High Commissioner appointed to Bangladesh, Harriet Gardner, Regional Examinations Director of British Council, Emma Hoyle, Vice President of Pearson School Qualifications and Junaid Ahmed, Director of Operations Examinations of British Council gave speeches as special guests on this occasion.
Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury MP said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working tirelessly to ensure effective and quality education in this country. He gave financial support to parents through smartphones to promote women’s education.
He said, the world is moving towards the fourth industrial revolution. He expressed hope that the talented students of this country will bring Bangladesh to the threshold of the developed world by 2041 with qualifications and skills by getting real education.
Speaker Pearson presented awards to the nominees for achieving outstanding results in the qualification. He thanked the British Council and Pearson for spreading quality education across the world.
At the Ninth Academic Award Ceremony, 779 people were awarded for their outstanding performance in the 2021 and 2022 examinations.
