Today Tuesday (November 22) a protest rally was held in front of the BNP office at the Grand Hotel intersection of the city. At that time, when the BNP was prevented from marching, a scuffle occurred between the BNP leaders and the police. But later, when the environment was controlled, the leaders gave a speech.
Shamsuzzaman Shamu, convenor of Rangpur Mahanagar BNP, said that when the people of all Bangladesh took to the streets to establish their rights, the corrupt forces of this government established the reign of killing our leaders and activists. Today in Bangladesh, the streets are being stained with their blood, just like how our activists are being shot dead. In exchange for that blood, the voting rights of the people of Bangladesh will be established in the future.
He said to the police, we are noticing that the police are very excited in this gathering today. You are also children of this country. You will be with the people. If you are not with the people then you will become a rascal to the present generation.
Advocate Mahmud Un Nabi Don, member secretary of Rangpur Mahanagar BNP, said that the country’s liquidity is not under the control of the current government. Prices of daily commodities including flour, sugar, oil have doubled. People no longer trust the government.
