Dhaka Bureau: The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) has approved eight projects including the transport master plan in Chittagong. This approval was given in the meeting held at the NEC conference room in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar of the capital today, Tuesday (November 22). It was presided over by Prime Minister and ECNEC Chairperson Sheikh Hasina. After the meeting, Planning Minister MA Mannan and State Minister for Planning briefed the journalists. Shamsul Alam.
The total cost of implementing these has been estimated at 4 thousand 826 crore 21 lakh taka. Out of this, two thousand 341 crore rupees will be spent from government funds, two thousand 207 crore rupees from foreign loan assistance and 278 crore rupees from implementing agencies.

Planning Minister MA Mannan said that the rate of inflation is going down and the wage rate is going up. This is a good sign. Inflation will decrease in December-January. Inflation will stabilize in February. He said, GDP growth will be close to 7 during this period. We have two billion rice in our warehouse. Aman is in the field. The bumper will yield. Vegetable production has increased 6 times in the last few years. Along with indigenous fruits, the production of foreign fruits including dragon fruit has increased tremendously. Cows, goats, sheep, ducks, chickens, eggs, milk—everything has increased in production. He also said that the supply is good. Our remittances are taking a turn for the better. Inflation will be under control in future.

Construction project of Galachipa Bridge over Ravnabad River at the 70th kilometer of Lebukhali-Baufal-Galachipa-Amragachia District Highway. Transport Masterplan and Preliminary Feasibility Study for Urban Metro Rail Transit Construction of Chittagong Metropolitan Area Project. Coastal Towns Climate Resilience Project. Third submarine cable installation project aimed at expanding Bangladesh international telecommunication system. Jail Security Modernization, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Chittagong Division Project. National Information and Communication Technology Infrastructure Development (Info-Government III Phase) Project. Project to strengthen nutrition and food security through agricultural development.
