Joypurhat Correspondent: The court gave a verdict 21 years after the murder of a man named Abdur Rahman of Harenda village in Panchbibi upazila of Joypurhat. In the verdict, 19 accused in the case were sentenced to life imprisonment.
At the same time, each of them has been fined 50 thousand taka, and in default of payment, another 2 years imprisonment.
On Monday, April 29, around 11:30 a.m., District and Sessions Judge Nurul Islam of the Second Court gave the verdict.
Assistant Public Prosecutor (APP) Uday Singh Roy confirmed the matter.
He said that the court sentenced 19 defendants to life imprisonment in the Abdur Rahman murder case of Panchbibi Upazila. Apart from this, each of them was fined 50 thousand tks.
