Dhaka Bureau: In the plan of the dismissed Major Ziaul Haque, the head of the militant organization Ansar Al Islam, 18 people snatched two militants from the court premises. In this incident, five people including a police inspector have been temporarily suspended. Today Monday (November 21) at the media center of DMP, Metropolitan Intelligence Police. Chief Haroon-Or Rashid gave this information. They are CMM Court Inspector Matiur Rahman, Jail in-charge Nahidur Rahman Bhuiyan, ATSI Mohiuddin, Policemen Sharif Hasan and Abdus Sattar.
He said that the CCTV camera footage of the incident site and surrounding area has been analysed. A case has been registered in Kotwali police station mentioning the names of 20 people.
The accused have abducted two of the 12 militants who appeared in the court. The remaining 10 people are being interrogated on 10-day remand. Before this, the police were taking the militants to the jail after the hearing at the Anti-Terrorism Tribunal in Dhaka on Sunday. The two were kidnapped on a motorcycle after suddenly attacking the police and spraying them in the eyes.
Abducted militants Mainul Hasan Shamim alias Sifat Sameer and Abu Chiddiq Sohail alias Saqib Jagriti Publishing Publisher Faisal Arefin Dipan and blogger Abhijit Roy are the accused in the murder case.
