The Crime Desk: Today, April 22, is International Dharitri Day. World Earth Day is celebrated on April 22 every year to create awareness about environmental protection. This year’s theme is ‘Earth vs. Plastic’. That is, we have to choose any one.
On the occasion of the day, Dharitri Raksha Amara (Dhara) and Waterkeepers Bangladesh have organized a sit-in and sit-in program to demand an end to polythene and plastic pollution at Dhaka University’s self-earned freedom square.
It is a day designated by the United Nations. The day was first celebrated in 1970 and is now celebrated worldwide by the Earth Day Network. Currently, Women’s Day is celebrated every year in 193 countries.
The natural environment of the world is gradually becoming uninhabitable. US Senator Gaylord Nelson thought about this issue in the early 1960s.
