Dhaka Bureau: Chairman of the technical education board is accused of being involved in the charter trade. Ali Akbar Khan’s wife, Shehela Parveen, has been arrested by Dhaka Metropolitan Detective (DB) Police.
He was arrested on Saturday, April 20, in a Cyber Security Act case for allegedly selling certificates. After the arrest, Dhaka Metropolitan Detective (DB) police interrogated.
According to DB sources, details will be given at a press conference on Sunday (April 21) at 11 a.m..
On April 1, technical education board system analyst engineer AKM Shamsuzzaman was arrested on the same charge. Shehela Parveen’s name came up in Shamsuzzaman’s interrogation.
Besides, in a press conference on April 4, DC Moshiur Rahman of the Lalbagh Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police, referring to the interrogation of the arrested Shamsuzzaman, said that the head teachers and principals of the technical schools and colleges established all over the country used to bring customers to him in various processes of trade. A long list of names of headmasters and principals who used to bring customers through mediation came into the hands of the detective police. The intelligence officer also mentioned that all the officials on the board knew about the charter trade.
