Dhaka Bureau: The Chhatra League is conducting tree planting programs across the country. The leaders and workers of the organization will plant five lakh trees in 10 days, from Sunday (April 21) to April 30.

The Chhatra League is announcing a program to plant more than 5 lakh trees in 10 days to overcome the recent severe heat wave and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The organization has given the necessary instructions for this. This includes: This program should be completed between 21 and 30 of the current month of April. With the necessary guidance and cooperation from agricultural experts and the government agriculture department, trees will be planted in the proper places. Due to the dry season, the plants should be watered regularly. Planted trees should be cared for.

The directive also includes that each upazila unit will plant 1000 trees and each educational institution unit will plant 500 trees. Awareness should be increased among students at the upazila level and educational institutions through tree plantations. Photos and videos of plantations should be disseminated through social media. At the same time, every leader-activist of BCL and other organizational units has been instructed to implement the tree plantation program on their own initiative.
