Entertainment Desk: Elections for the 2024–2026 term of the Film Artists Association have ended with enthusiasm. Misha Saudagar (265) was elected as the new president of this term. Mahmud Koli was defeated by getting 170 votes. Manowar Hossain Dipzal (225) was elected General Secretary. Nipun Akhter (209) was defeated by getting 17 fewer votes.
The result was announced at 6:45 a.m. on Saturday, April 20.
“We are all one,” Dipzal said in an instant reaction after winning. We will all work together.
He also said, ‘Winning or losing in the election is not a big deal. I brought Nipun to the film. I adore her like a daughter.
Meanwhile, Masum Parvez Rubel (231) and DA Taib (234), Deputy General Secretary Arman (237), Organizing Secretary Joy Chowdhury (255), and International Affairs Secretary Alexander Bo (296), Office and Publicity, won the post of Vice President. Secretary Jackie Alamgir (245), Culture and Sports Secretary Mamnoon Hasan Imon (235), and Treasurer Kamal (231).
Nine people have been elected from Misha-Dipzal Parishad as executive members. They are Sucharita (228), Rozina (243), Aliraj (239), Subrata, Dilara Yasmin (218), Shahnoor (245), Nana Shah (210), Ratna Kabir (263) and Chunnu (248).
Riana Parveen Poly (220) and Soni Rahman (230) were elected from Koli-Nipun Parishad.
