11 people were killed in a collision between a passenger bus and a pickup van at Kanaipur in Faridpur. In addition, eight people were injured. Kotwali Police Station OC Md. Hasanuzzaman confirmed this.
The accident took place on the Faridpur-Khulna highway in the Diknagar area of Kanaipur, Faridpur, on Tuesday (April 16).
OC Md. Hasanuzzaman said that the casualty occurred when a pickup truck coming from the opposite direction collided with a bus of Unique Paribahan going from Dhaka to Magura.
Faridpur Superintendent of Police Mohammad Morshed Alam told the media that the passenger bus was going to Magura from Dhaka. At this time, the accident happened. A total of 11 people died.
It is known that all the deceased were passengers on the pickup. However, the identity of the deceased has not yet been found.
The police and fire service said that the passenger bus was going from Dhaka to Magura. The accident took place when he reached the Diknagar area of Kanaipur. Police and fire service recovered the body after receiving information.
