Lalmonirhat Correspondent: A Bangladeshi youth named Aminur Rahman (30) was arrested by the Indian Border Guard Force (BSF) from the Barakhata border of Hatibandha Upazila of Lalmonirhat.
This incident took place in the Dolapara border area of the Barakhata union of the upazila on Monday (April 15) afternoon. Aminur Rahman is the son of Jabed Ali of the Dolapara area of the Barakhata Union of Upazila.
According to the locals, on Monday afternoon, some people, including Aminur Rahman, infiltrated into India. They were chased by members of the BSF camp in the Barogharia area of Matha Bhanga police station in Cooch Behar district. Later, Aminur Rahman’s associates fled. At this time, Aminur was taken away by the BSF members.
No statement was received from Teesta Battalion-2 (61 BGB) in this regard.
Barakhata Union Parishad Chairman Abu Hena Mostafa Jamal Sohail said that the youth have been detained by the BSF through a UP member.
