BGMEA has joined hands with Miss World Torsa to highlight Bangladesh

Dhaka Bureau: Bangladesh Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has joined hands with Miss World Bangladesh Rafah Nanjeba Torsa to highlight Bangladesh in the international arena. BGMEA President Farooq Hasan made this announcement at a function organized at BGMEA Complex in the capital on Sunday (November 20). Rafah Nanjeba Torsa was present at the event.

Miss Rafah will represent Bangladesh in the World Miss University beauty pageant.

World Miss University is a Seoul-based beauty pageant that began in 1986 to celebrate and promote the UN’s recognition of the International Year of Peace. WMU elects representatives who will promote UN-affiliated programs and volunteer for peace services.

BGMEA President Farooq Hasan said, Bangladesh has many encouraging stories to tell the world. “Everyone should come forward and join hands to promote Bangladesh internationally. BGMEA is working on branding Bangladesh on its own initiative.

He added, “As this is a great opportunity for Nanjeba Torsa to represent Bangladesh internationally, BGMEA is happy to join hands with him in promoting Bangladesh on the international platform.”

BGMEA Vice President (Finance) Khandaker Rafiqul Islam, Director Abdullah Hill Rakib and Md. Imranur Rahman and chairmen of various standing committees were also present on the occasion.
