Bandarban Correspondent: Four persons, including a woman, have been arrested in connection with bank robbery in Ruma and Thanchi of Bandarban. One of them was arrested in Thanchi, and three others were arrested in the Reisa checkpoint area of Bandarban Sadar. At this time, a Jeep used in the robbery has been seized.

The arrested are Bhannun Nuam Bom, son of Jingchun Nung Bom, resident of Ward No. 9 of Sadar Union of Rowangchari Upazila; Geminiu Bom, daughter of Lalmun Chom Bom of Simtlangpipara; Thanchi; and Ame Lomchew Bom. Besides, a driver named Kofil Uddin was arrested for transporting those involved in the robbery from T&Tipara in Thanchi Sadar.
According to the police, four people were arrested in the bank robbery incident. Legal action is underway against them.
Thanchi police station OC Jaseem Uddin told reporters that KNF members used two vehicles to come to rob the bank. One of the two vehicles was seized, and the driver, Kofil Uddin, was arrested. He is being interrogated.
Earlier, armed terrorists of the Kuki-Chin National Front (KNF) robbed Sonali Bank and Kushi Bank in Thanchi upazila headquarters at noon on April 3. The previous day, on the night of April 2, the same terrorist group attacked Ruma Sonali Bank. In the Ruma incident, the terrorists kidnapped the manager of the bank and looted government weapons and ammunition.
